Energizing Our Communities 2010
That famous California sunshine will soon go to work for every customer of the Modesto Irrigation District if a solar energy project proposed for north Modesto proceeds according to plan.
Read about this clean local energy resource in MID’s fall energy publication, Energizing Our Communities.
“Many of our customers are intrigued by solar power but can’t afford to spend $20,000 or more for a rooftop solar system,” says Greg Salyer, MID Resource Planning & Development Manager. “When MID buys power generated by a utility-scale solar farm, our whole customer community shares the promise of energy from the sun.”
Energizing Our Communities will also bring you up to date on:
- Why MID is adding green energy now
- The “perfect” way to generate electricity
- What to do if you see a downed power line
- The piston and cylinder engine: An old idea that’s new again.
- Plus: Planting a tree this fall? MID will show you how to avoid future problems with power lines, either aboveground or below the ground.
